چکیده

Transition systems with timing constraints are a well known abstract representation of real time systems. EEcient analysis of timed transition systems is therefore a basis for real time veriication. In this paper we introduce an algorithm for reachability analysis of timed transition systems with forced events which is based on an intuitive concept of constraint evaluation. During a depth-rst search, the possible next states of each considered path are found by determining all transitions which are not in contradiction to the current timing constraints. The timing information is captured in a concise matrix representation for which a normal form is deened to guarantee the termination and improve the eeciency of the algorithm .

New Complexity Results for Some Linear Counting Problems Using Minimal Solutions to Linear Diophantine Equations

The linear reachability problem is to decide whether there is an execution path in a given finite state transition system such that the counts of labels on the path satisfy a given linear constraint. Using results on minimal solutions (in nonnegative integers) for linear Diophantine systems, we obtain new complexity results for the problem, as well as for other linear counting problems of finit...

Timed Automata as Task Models for Event-Driven Systems

In this paper, we extend the classic model of timed automata with a notion of real time tasks. The main idea is to associate each discrete transition in a timed automaton with a task (an executable program). Intuitively, a discrete transition in an extended timed automaton denotes an event releasing a task and the guard on the transition specifies all the possible arriving times of the event (i...

Revisiting Decidability and Optimum Reachability for Multi-Priced Timed Automata

We investigate the optimum reachability problem for MultiPriced Timed Automata (MPTA) that admit both positive and negative costs on edges and locations, thus bridging the gap between the results of Bouyer et al. (2007) and of Larsen and Rasmussen (2008). Our contributions are the following: (1) We show that even the location reachability problem is undecidable for MPTA equipped with both posit...

UPPAAL: Status & Developments

Uppaal is a tool box for validation (via graphical simulation) and veri cation (via automatic model-checking) of real-time systems, based on constraint solving and onthey techniques. It consists of three main parts: a description language, a simulator and a model-checker. It is appropriate for systems that can be modelled as networks of timed automata [3, 2], i.e. a collection of non-determinis...
